The mission of the brotherhood ministry is make the priceless investment in the lives of young men in the Church, community and schools. The men of Zion Baptist Church will make a difference in the lives of our youth by strengthening their faith in God through biblical teachings, mentoring, friendship and love. For those who need in their lives an adult mentor, we well educate them on the importance of discipline, respect, hard work, proper dress, a positive attitude, and exposure into a variety of issues and events that will allow afford them a successful and productive future. Ezekiel 22:30 states: "I looked for a man among them who would build up the wall and stand before me in the gap on behalf of the land, so I would not have to destroy it, but I found none." As men of the brotherhood ministry, it is our duty to build up our young men and "stand in the gap" by showing them how endless their possibilities are, to reach for the stars and become successful in all they seek.
"As iron sharpeneth iron, so one man sharpens another." Proverbs 27:17 |
